Avery Bradley got the party started early, kept the hammer down and finished with a career-high 23 points as our Celtics swept the lowly Wizards and reestablished some critical momentum in a competitive Atlantic Division race. With Ray Allen and Mickael Pietrus unavailable, Doc Rivers had little choice but to go with Bradley, and the second year point guard did not disappoint. Nice job by Bradley!
Next up is a Monday road game against the Bobcats in Charlotte. It will be interesting to see if Bradley can play well two nights in a row. I’m a Bradley fan, and I hope he does show his stuff. My concern is that Ainge will bundle him in a trade package this summer and send him packing. Seems like that’s the way it works in the NBA, whether the move makes sense or not. I would like to see Ainge let Doc develop Bradley, who appears coachable and a good locker room citizen.
On the Ryan Hollins front – we got 13 minutes out of him, and he should see minutes again tomorrow night. He’ll need the PT if he’s going to learn the system by playoff time, so getting the Wizards and Bobcats on back-to-back nights actually works to our advantage. Looking forward to the game tomorrow night!
