KG and Pierce put the tea on their backs. Not much else I have to say after the great win for the C’s. Garnett started off the game 1-6 from the field and shot 75% from the field after his cold streak. The hard work KG put in wasn’t limited to the offensive end, swatting away 5 blocks in the game. Pierce played great offensively, but his shining moment in the game had to have been his lockdown defense on Joe Johnson late in the 4th quarter. Boston now has home court advantage with Philadelphia (8th seed) topping off Chicago (1st seed) today. Great matchup for the Celtics, but one thing to be concerned about for any fan would be the health of Ray Allen. Allen has ankle problems that will most likely require surgery after the season. Pierce’s defense on Joe Johnson today convinced me the sprained MCL isn’t the biggest thing this team has to worry about in this playoff run.
