Phew. That was a close one. Boston shot 40% from the floor the first half and it was very ugly. Not much movement the first three quarters, and the C’s only led the game for 2:05 until halfway through the fourth. I can’t help but be worried about our second unit, but I should just be thankful for the W. Rondo came through as usual with a triple double (13 pts. 17 ast. 12 reb.) against a tough and fast Philadelphia defense. As Rajon’s mid-range jumper improves, he has to be careful not to fall in love with the three-point shot. Asked by David Aldridge after the game, “Game every other day, you’re an older team, it may be difficult-” Rondo interrupts David by saying, “It may not be. Look at us. We’ll be fine.” This postgame interview should bring a lot of joy to us Celtic fans. This is the swagger and confidence we saw in ’08 and I love it.
