Good to see Jeff Green logging 37+ minutes tonight against the New York Knicks, scoring 25 points and grabbing 6 boards while showing some range on his shot. Okay, so it wasn’t the stiffest competition in the world, but you’ve got to start somewhere, and tonight it was great to see Green leading the Celtics the way that he did. It helps validate the gamble by Danny Ainge, and Green’s performance has to put a smile on the face of Paul Pierce, who (thanks to Doc Rivers) wisely sat this one out.
