Nine days and counting. Nine days until we go toe-to-toe with the defending champion Miami Heat. And with this preseason loss to the 76ers in the books, there are encouraging signs that our Boston Celtics are going to be just fine once the games are for real. The triumvirate that is Jeff Green, Brandon Bass and Jared Sullinger played well against the Sixers, which reaffirms the notion that our C’s have solid front-court depth. Rajon Rondo looks more than ready to lead this new group into the regular season. And Doc Rivers did the right thing by sitting Jason Terry tonight – Terry is clearly ready for the regular season, so it was nice to see Doc give him the night off.
