The good news: Our Boston Celtics are in the win column, courtesy of a big night be The Captain. The bad news: It shouldn’t take a 27-point, 7-assist, clutch-three effort by Paul Pierce to beat the Washington Wizards, even on the road. The master plan is for Pierce to take a more complimentary role this season, and for other players to step up and take on the burden of carrying this team for stretches. At least we won’t have to worry about Pierce getting rusty, or about him losing it because the old man ain’t using it. Pierce stepped up and delivered when it mattered most, and now our C’s are on the board.
