The Celtics are tired and sputtering. Playing a young team could be great for them, or exactly what they don’t need.
Luckily, Cleveland ranks twenty-third in points allowed per game, giving up 100.3 points a contest.
Hopefully, the home crowd and the Cavaliers porous defense allow Boston to begin getting things on track.
There is one key tonight; pride!
The Celtics must show that they have the mental toughness necessary to win a championship.
The team must lock down the likes of Kyrie Irving and rookie Dion Waiters and keep Tristan Thompson off the boards.
Offensively, the Celtics should blow Cleveland out from the start and impose their will.
Boston can win this game on the shoulders of the big three. However, it is necessary for the confidence of both the individual’s and the team as a whole that everyone play well.
This game can be a huge confidence booster or it can submarine it.
Tonight, is a golden opportunity with alarming repercussions if not seized.
