Celtic-Nation.Com is pleased to announce the 2012 inductees into its inaugural GirlPower Hall-of-Fame. The honor is not bestowed lightly, as we believe that Celtic Nation has by far the smartest, most sophisticated and fiercely loyal Boston Celtics fans on the planet. The women who follow Celtic-Nation.Com on Twitter @myCelticNation have proven time and again that the world of sports and sports blogs is far better with them involved at the highest levels. They are passionate about their team, their players, and the future of the NBA’s most tradition-rich franchise. They are smart, witty, thoughtful, articulate, intelligent and insanely crazy when it comes to the Boston Celtics.
And when it comes to supporting Celtic-Nation.Com and @myCelticNation, the women clearly rock. They are always there with a Twitter RT. They read the blog posts. They take the time to check out the Celtic-Nation.Com Facebook Wall. In Short, they are the engine that drives Celtic-Nation.Com, and for that I say ‘Thank You’.
With that said, the time has come to honor the 2012 GirlPower Hall-of-Fame inductees. But remember, all of the women who follow Celtic-Nation are important and respected, and without you this site would not be possible. Girl’s Rock!
Where to start, where to start…@Yoitsmymy may reside in the Big Apple, but she’s a big-time Boston Celtics fan who knows her hoops. She represents the women who follow Celtic Nation extremely well in other ways, as she’s the vision behind the MCMedia Group, a 1-stop media shop for the indie artist specializing in publicity, music production, management, artist development & much, much more. She’s supported Celtic-Nation from Day 1, and she continues to keep me sane during losing streaks and rumors of rebuilding projects and trades involving Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo.
The next inductee is actually one of my first followers @myCelticNation. She was quick to impress me with her unwavering spirit, never getting down on the C’s and always making a point to look at the bright side of almost any situation. She knows her hoops, loves her hoops, lives her hoops – and by hoops, I mean Boston Celtics. Forget the fact that @VLove09 hails from Texas; she’s as much a dyed-in-the-wool Celtics fan as anyone from New England. The think that I love most about VLove? No matter how bummed you might be after a loss, or an injury, or a trade that doesn’t go our way, VLove is right there with her Silver Lining Playbook. It’s helped keep me from going negative on the C’s on many occasions.
@_CherryApple is a huge Celtics fan who never misses an opportunity to RT anything and everything put out by @myCelticNation. She’s quick to come to my defense whenever a rogue Heat fan jumps on my case after a tweet. She’s always there, doing her thing, and I know I can count on her to have my back. She’s exactly the type of passionate hoops fan that every other team wishes they had but don’t. In short, she’s the bedrock of what Celtic-Nation.Com is all about, and I’m thankful to have her on my side.
