PROMOTED FORUM POST: At some point Danny Ainge is going to add a player or two to the roster since there are two spots available. At least one will be a big. I expect this big will be a veteran free agent worth the minimum. While I expect a trade will happen, who can the Celtics get that can help the team now? What would Boston have to give up to get a productive veteran?
With two slots available, I wonder why not give Kris Joseph a call? He was good in the Summer League and preseason. Because he’s not a good shooter, I think his all-around game would fit in well with this offense since he’ll have the opportunity to rebound, defend, and attack the rim. Just a thought.
What’s clear is Ainge’s interest in Greg Oden. They met recently:

I’m cooling off on this idea. He’s barely been healthy for his career. Why should we believe he’s going to achieve perfect health and that he will stay healthy? We’ve had bad luck with injuries over the years and we only make it worse when we take fliers on vets with injury histories (remember the O’Neal twins?)
Ainge is gonna do what he wants, so I’m only musing.
