If we can pull off this win it will cap off a damn good west coast road trip and it will shut up all the doom and gloom talk in the media and by fair weather fans.

no Sheed, means no bad 3s lesser Ts and hopefully more Shelden. I hope Doc gives Shelden some significant amount of PT instead of just adding it to BBQ's time.

Williams played well before Big Belly got back, and since has been exiled to the deep bench despite a number of less than spectacular games from Uno Uno.

The two charges in a row Big Baby took off Fernandez won us the game in Portland, he might not have been otherwise spectacular, but it was better than Scal's contribution ;)

The Celtics won by 20. People are upset that they didn't trade Ray, but I'm more upset that they didn't turn Veal & Baby into something useful. As much as some like to bash Sheed, he makes both of these lardos even more useless.

Baby has had some good games but it seems some people like to fixate on certain players because of a few bad games. Scalabrini or howeva you spell it is a stiff. It speaks volumes on fan knowledge of the sport when folks chant this goofs name or the famous chant 'put the white guy in' What was Scal last game 0+ -2 lol!

I think that some fans think that Scal is pretty good, but I think that many (even most) of those who do that chanting have no illusions about his skills. They're just having a good time rooting for the team and have picked him as a kind of "mascot." I would even argue that they are being condescending to him when they do that, much like when they acted that way with Henry Finkle or any of the long string of marginal players that the Celtics (and most teams) have had over the years.

Myself, I think that Scal is a pretty good 3rd string, last-off-the-bench, practice player. Unfortunately, in a pinch they have to use him in actual games, but I don't think many people want this. I think you are judging him by way too high a standard. IMHO.

Scal's a useful emergency backup to both forward positions. He plays acceptable defense(outstanding for a third-stringer, but just acceptable overall), boxes out well, and can hit from the perimeter well enough that he can keep teams honest when used to space the floor offensively. He's a veteran that's perfectly happy to sit in a suit 70 games a year, but can be plugged into the rotation in an emergency and not kill you with his play. If you can turn him into a better player using his expiring salary then by all means go ahead, but he's worth bringing back over the summer on a vet minimum deal.

End of the first:

Rondo is playing like a jack ass. Whey did he sit there on that in bound play and hold it until he could throw a bad pass and get a t/o. Sheed was calling for it early so Rondo waits until 4 players are around him and his defender is crawling up his ass and then pickles it in there. He's such a fa<king moron sometimes.

I'm really impressed with Ray as of late. Like Doc said, we should threaten to trade him all the time.

Davis should never get an offensive rebound and then squat down and pump fake until 3 defenders surround him. He needs to rebound and get the ball out to a guard and start over.

You are not an inside scorer Glen. You are too fat and can't jump. These are things you could change but you choose not to so you should pass the ball out rather than get it stamped back in your fat face every time. MORON!

For what it's worth, Amir Johnson is a free agent this summer. Might make more sense to target him in a sign-and-trade(maybe sending back Glen Davis, Scal signed to the amount required to make salaries match, and a protected first round pick) because Toronto has his Bird rights and that would allow us to use the MLE on Nate Robinson and another bench player, but he'd be a worthwhile target. If Toronto can get Bosh to sign an extension for the league max I'd imagine they'd hesitate to give Johnson even a medium sized long-term contract, with well over thirty million dollars committed next year to power forwards already in Bosh, Bargnani, and Evans.

Christ, man. Why does Doc insist on having Perk and Garnett off the court? Rasheed is fine on his own, but it's kind of an impossible situation when Big Baby is constantly making idiotic mistakes in the paint and getting in the way. Then making stupid plays on offense. The great part about bringing in Sheed was that they wouldn't have to use Baby and Scal anymore...Doc is the worst rotational manager in the NBA - still. We got spoiled a couple years ago when Ainge forced a rotation by keeping the roster too small for Doc to screw up...

I don't mind Doc, he does a lot of things well, but he has the worst rotations ever.

Watching the c's is like looking at an old old dog with a gimpy leg, can barely walk, with patches of bare skin all over its body and I'm thinking...put this poor animal out of its misery please.

Gee, guess we have to send some of these great posts to Doc. He is missing all the great things kRasheed is doing, and the bad things that BB is doing.

Let's see in baseball if you argue about a 3rd strike you are thrown out of the game. In football if you shoot off your mouth or show up an opponent your team gets a 15 yard penelty. If you give crap to an official, or touch him -- you are thrown out of the game.

Only in basketball can a moron like Rasheed make a living while turning all the officials against his team.

Some of you should just put on the Lakers jersey and be done with it already. The loss was a bummer but some bright spots were to be seen. The 1st quater was a complete disaster. The poise and focus for the C's to get back into this game shows they had heart. Secondly, Pierce was hurt with the banged up thumb. The main thing this team needs now is just time to gel. KG has shown he is getting better and better so this is a huge relief. The Nuggets, in my opinion, are the best team in basketball right now. The C's minus a 100% healthy team, minus a full bench, and at the end of a long road trip showd they are moving in the right direction. I could be wrong! I could be setting myself up by going on blind faith alone........but if I did not do this then I would not be a fan!
