If Paul Pierce wants to win another championship he should use ETO and then re-sign with the Celtics with a cheaper contract to get more cap space? Agreed?

If Paul Pierce wants to win another championship he should use his ETO and sign somewhere else. Even if he opted out of his 21.5 million dollar salary next year and resigned for 5-6 million/year we wouldn't have much more cap space than what the MLE is worth anyway. The team's more or less out of options to upgrade the roster and is faced with another year or two of playoff, but not championship, contention or a complete tear-down/

Seems like everyone is saying we never have cap space. What we have to do to get cap space to sign someone good sell our team?

Well, Pierce and KG will combine for just over 40 million between the two of them next year, and the cap is going to be around 53 million. Rondo's extension and Rasheed's deal put us over the cap, and that's before we get to Perk and the rest of roster(probably including Ray).
