I'll be going to the game tonight. They've won the other 2 games I saw live this season so hopefully the winning streak continues.

Yes, I can watch this, national tv, hoping PP gets into some sort of rhythm, want to see more rondo/kg interaction

What an uneven ballgame. Perk has 10 Pts., but only 2 rebounds. Rondo is out to lunch. I Assist. BB had 4 "O" rebounds, and 2 "D" rebs..
Move the damn ball, and get some easy shots.

What was going on with Pierce and Garnett at the end? Pierce kept hitting Garnett on the chest during the timeout. It looked like he was trying to get Garnett's attention but when Garnett didn't respond he started hitting him harder and then they kinda started barking at one another even as the timeout ended. Allen looked back at them thinking they were clowning around but then it seemed he realized the interaction was a bit salty. Seemed an odd time for players to be fighting given that Allen just scored a major three pointer that put them ahead.
I didn't see the whole game so maybe I missed something. Anyone know the back story on this little bit of on court teammate tension?

Ray had a heck of a game. We were lucky to win a very poorly played game. Burke did a good job doing the color in the game. She knows basketball.
PP was "torched" by Thornton. He left PP looking for his jock. "How does Paul Pierce end up with a forearm in the back of a guy who he was in front of"? That was the funniest quote of the night by the announcers.

It might be time for Doc to take them back out on an inspirational, bond-affirming Duck Tour.

Terrible game - nice win.
Would be totally embarrassing if losing to both the Nets and the Wiz while claiming that we can compete with the top dogs.
Biggest concern is PP: played no D, as usually really struggled against bigger player. Looked really old and slow, footwork was terrible. Encouraging part is that the 2nd unit has enough energy to spark it all: that's the second game in a row they've done just that. While the starting 5 are complete out of the game - reserve is really pushing it.
I wonder how Finley will be used, and what kind of impact he'll have. Granted, we have no shooters at the 2/3, so most logical move will be to put TA on the shelve - if Finley still can play some D.

The 2nd unit scored (9) PTS. They shot (3) for (21) = (14%)!!! That's GOOD?
The only hustle was BB. He had (8) rebounds -- ( 6 "O" ) rebounds. He couldn't hit sqat either.

Chris, not everything can be measured by scoring - you should know that. First unit starts flat every game - second unit hustles their brain out.
Did you turn into another stat freak as of late?.... :)
What was going on with Pierce and Garnett at the end?
I'm not sure, but during one of Comcasts after-game shows, Gary Tanguay was saying that it was embarrassing the way Garnett was "woofing" (i.e. trash-talking) at the end of the game, and doing all that macho chest-thumping, after almost losing to the likes of the Wizards. I'm thinking that maybe Paul was trying to get him to cool it on that crap. Perhaps. Hard to tell.
I agree with you CaptChris, that BB hustled. He always plays hard, which is hard to say about any of the other players, even if Glen's results are often less than wonderful.
I think Pierce is still really hurting. Both his knees had big bags of ice covering them when he stood at the end of the post-game press conference. That may not mean much (they may do that anyway), but for a guy who has a reputation for playing hard most of the time, there must be a good reason for his erratic play.
I also think that Paul may see his hopes for another championship (ever in his career) going down the tubes, and may be so discouraged that he cannot keep up the effort.

RAH: Right! This team has a "mouth" problem. It ends up with leading the league in Technical Fouls. Sometimes it isn't as evident as it was yesterday. KG looked like a jerk. Wallace & Perk bitch about everyting, and it costs the TEAM. Funny that Perk and Wallace play shorter minutes and at the top of "T" list with Howard (leading rebounder -- "D" Player of the Year) and Kobe Bryant(MVP). Bryant and Howard get creamed and lose it. Perk and Wallace get fouled and lose it.
PP is slipping. Wonder how much of the problem is the weight he is carrying on those old knees? He looks like a plough horse triying to drive to the basket. Sad. Could he be more effective with better ball movement, getting him open shots?
TIG: 3 FG's from the 2nd team isn't high tech stats. Its a FACT! OUCH!
