We have just made New Jersey -- Detroit -- Washington look like the Lakers -- Cavs -- Hawks. We have played down to the record of losing teams. We looked terrible, even in Winning.

Starting Sunday in Cleveland we are playing 12 games against a group of teams with Winning Records. Cavs and Rockets twice. Throw in the Mavs -- Jazz -- Nuggets -- Spurs -- Thunder, and you are getting serious competition. Only Detroit -- New Yourk and Sacremento have losing records.

3/14 at Cleveland, 3:30 PM

3/20 at Dallas, 9:00 PM
3/22 at Utah, 9:00 PM
3/24 vs Denver, 7:00 PM
3/26 vs Sacramento, 7:30 PM
3/28 vs San Antonio, 8:00 PM
3/31 vs Oklahoma City, 7:30 PM

April
4/02 vs Houston, 7:30 PM
4/04 vs Cleveland, 1:00 PM

This is going to be the stretch that shows where we are. Can we come out with a winning record? Can we compete with the better teams 3 or 4 games in a row.

We need all 5 guys putting out the whole game. Rondo can't play 1/2 a game. PP better show up, if he can. Perk has to rebound. KG keep it going. Ray don't wake up. The bench has to incorporate Nate and see if Finley has anything left.

How do you think we will fare?

I wouldn't look past tonight's game against a very hot Milwaukee team (the surprise story of the NBA, in my opinion) followed by a back-to-back against a dangerous and talented Memphis squad.

My goal for the Celtics at this point is 55 regular season wins. This, to me, seems like a challenging but not unrealistic number to shoot for.

As far as the playoffs go, I still haven't ruled us out as a contender, but I'll wait to see how the regular season ends up before I start having too many wild dreams of hanging another banner.

How many of those teams will crumble and start to cry when KG tries to bully them? Hopefully we can maintain our usual .500 record this month

We get Wallace and the bottom falls out of the TEAM. NOw we want to talk them to death. Shut up and play basketball.

I couldn't wait to hear Chris blame the whole thing on Sheed. :)

This made my year.

This team reminds me of an old Johnny Cash song:

I fell in to a burning ring of fire
I went down down down and the flames went higher....

Alot of C's fans are still under the assumption that the team will just "flip the switch" come playoff time.

The only problem with that is there's no power running to the switch. :(

I'm still in the wait till the playoffs crew, because the last few years have proven the regular season DOES NOT MATTER.

The Bulls and Hawks pushing Boston to 7 in consecutive years is the prime example (the Bucks are this years version).

All this team needs to do is stay healthy for the playoffs, wins/losses do not matter, staying healthy does.

70-Win Team = Joke. Greatest Defensive Team Ever = Bigger Joke.

Having a washed up reputation is going to help this team in the playoffs, people are going to underestimate them.

See any bandages on the Celtics? Perk hurt? RAy? PP? KG? Rondo? Wallace? We are the heaalthiest we have been all season -- Right Now.

A healthy Perk has given us in Feb. & March.

Feb. -- .557% FG. -- .50 FS -- 5.9 Rebs. -- 8.0 Pts.. -- Slipped badly!
Mar. -- .536 %FG. -- .50 FS -- 5.2 Rebs. -- 7.2 Pts.. -- Slipped worse

Pierce's Rebounding -- Feb. -- 4.0 -- Mar. -- 2.3 -- He has disappeared. -- MOves like a plough horse.

Wallace's 6th Man of the Year performance.

Feb. -- .398% FG. -- .171% "3" 's -- 3.4 Rebs. -- 8.6 Pts.. -- Downright UGLY!
Mar. -- .438% FG. -- .417% "3" 's -- 3.5 Rebs. -- 7.3 Pts.. -- Useless.

We stink in Rebounding -- "O" = 0. T/O's are killing us. -- "D" sucks. -- How many games have we allowed 100 Pts. in Feb. and March?

Yet, all we need is to be healthy in the Play-offs. I don't think so!

Easy question! -- How many 2nd chance points does Perk have for the year?

I agree with your general assessment, but how do you explain it? None of these players (except Wallace and Finley) is old enough to be as washed-up as they are playing. For example, why exactly is Pierce so terrible right now? I don't mean he isn't, I just want to know why. His legs were fine last year, and now he looks terrible. One thing to remember about him - he has never been a super-fast type of player like Jordan. He has always kind of bulled his way thru the paint in those drvies, relying more on his strength than his quickness. So when he loses even half a step, it is apt to look like it is looking now. I should think he could recover, considering his age.

PP is having a big problem carrying the weight. He looks slow physically. He acts slow mentally. His concentration is gone. Watch the mechanical passes.

As you said PP was never FAST. A fast guy loses a step, and he slows down a little. A slow guy loses a step, and he is almost stopped!

Putting on the weight is a problem as you age. It tends to slow everyting down. YOu atart to feel loogy. You have to adjust to the changes, and modify your behavior to keep up.

When he went down, Paul wasnt able to do any lifting on his legs for a month or so. I don't think physically speaking we'll see him in 2007 form this season except MAYBE in the playoffs.

Perk's complacency on rebounds can't and shouldnt be defended. I dont know whats up there.

Well we are 0 - 1 on the voyage. Cavs just rolled over us without a sweat. We are trying to put the fuzzy Brazilian into the Hall fo Fame. he killed us on the boards.

We gave up 17 "O" rebounds. Ouch!

TCF: Perk had (9) games with 10 or more rebounds in January in 14 games.. He has had (1) game of 10 or more rebounds, since Feb. 1. That's 19 games. UGLY!

We are going down the stretch. We have played 11 games, and are 6 - 5, with 3 losses in a row.

We have the Cavs tomorrow. If we lose this one, we will be a .500 team for this stretch.

That's where we are at. A .500 Ballclub waiting to turn the GO SWITCH ON!
