Yeah, I read it. I didn't realize at first it was just a sheed rant, I thought he was do a take on all the old guy who can't bring it like they used to. No sheed is not a 'classic Celtic' in the havlicek/silas mode. But our team's problems go a lot further than our backup center.

Sheed's stinking attitude is like the rotten apple in the barrel. He isn't the whole problem. He is just the "poison" that made the Celtics the Bad Guys, as far as the Refs are concerned. He brought nothing but grief to the Celtics.
Danny was dumb enough to give almost $20,000,000 to an over-the-hill trouble-maker. Look at what he did over the last 4 years. See what he did in the play-offs. He hasn't played good ball for a very long time. WE are stuck with this clown for 2 more years.
He is the worst Celtic I have seen since 1949. He couldn't even keep a job as a Hermit. Mother Nature would have a mountain fall on his head to get rid of him.

I know you're lying here because I'm also old enough to have vivid memories of Sidney Wicks, Bad News Barnes, Curtis Rowe and the rest of the 78 & 79 Celtics.

I will see your Sheed and raise you a Garnett.
KG had one rebound last night. The games I've watched have mainly featured KG being too slow on help D and arriving just in time to set a pick on his own man.
He has never been strong enough to guard the big boys in the post and now he's too slow to guard quick guys anywhere as well.
This team is probably screwed but if .... IF .... there is such a thing as a "switch" that can get flipped by a veteran team they have the guys that can make it work and Sheed could be a big part of that happening. Alas, I doubt it will happen and I doubt Sheed will look much different in the playoffs.
I do think KG will look different though. He will look more manic and be less effective on defense because he will be trying to flip his switch and it will look like an old Ford back firing and sputtering to get out of his own way and leave gaping holes everywhere.

KG's 18 foot shot kills me. If he's shooting out there, he's out of position on rebounding, leading to very few O rebounds, where he used to be racking up 3-4 a game.
I did not see too many Vets clamoring to come play for Boston this past offseason, McDyess definitely turned us down for S.A. and some of the other mentioned targets were never interested in playing here. The C's had to overpay to get Sheed, because he was one of the few that actually would consider playing here. The questions about KG were all over the place last summer.
Scaly is only making 1.2 Mil less than Sheed this year, so money is for owners to talk about, but on the court he actually is a better fit than Sheed as he can hit the three, doesnt take too many forced shots and plays D 100% of the time, not 25%.
Sheed, Scaly, Davis and Williams should not be playing as much time at the 5 as they do, which is really an issue. One true Center leads to the -19 when Sheed replaces Perk.

Whats worse is he wouldnt do that for Posey because he was too old, and Posey's 3 YEARS YOUNGER than Sheed!

All of these things happened before sheed arrived: KG and Pierce talked trash, Perk got too many techs, Rondo slapped Brad Miller across the face, KG fell in love with the perimeter jumpshot.
KG and Sheed are 2 very talented players, but not leaders. Their road to the HOF got a lot of easier because 2 overlooked, truly great players carried them to a title--billups and pierce. It is fitting that the become free agents the same year. They start out now as being almost untradeable and then morph into expiring contracts over time.
THis summer the question becomes if Ainge spends money and pays lots of tax to be a 5-8 seed playoff team or goes cheep and rides this out for 1.5-2 years until be get cap flexibility. I read a forum saying manu's contract means that Ray will get 3yr-$30million, and I threw up a little bit. Luckily Danny is smarter than that

The way to switch Wallace "on" is to hook up a Taser to his scrotum with a remote control switch in my hands. Every time he doesn't hustle or run down the court with his teammates -- zap, just like a bug. Standing out on the 3-Point line all night, zap like a bug. Not working on defense down in the paint, zap like a bug. Mouth off to a ref, zap like a bug. Zap, zap, zap, zap ....
Seem like I had better stock up on extra Duracells, we're in for a long night.

Nothing creepy at all here, and it isn't a fantasy of mine. How many coaches and teammates have tried to get Sheed's attention and failed? Zapping the jerk might be the only thing that would get his attention. Zapping him in the head would have had no effect, that's why it necessitates aiming at a spot where he might actually pay attention. Even a rat can be conditioned.

Rasheed Wallace in all his Glory. 41 % Field Goals -- 28 % "3" -- 4 Rebounds in 23 minutes. This from a guy who is about 7' tall -- has long arms -- can score at will on the blocks.
Sidney Wicks -- 6'7" -- 15.1 Pts. -- 46 % -- 10 Rebs --1977. He dropped to 13.4 Pts. -- 47 % -- 8.3 Rebs. in 78.
Curtis Rowe -- 6'6" -- 10 - 6.7 Pts. -- 50 % to 44 % -- 7.1 - 4.0 Rebs -- over 3 years.
Both were selfish players, who didn't want to play team basketball.
"Bad News" Barnes -- a BUM who only played 12 - 13 minutes.
This was also the time of Dave Cowens -- driving a cab. John Y. Brown -- Mr. Kentucky Fired Chicken trading the Celtics for the Bufflo Braves. -- 32 and 29 Win seasons. -- Red drafting Larry Bird.
There ain't no Larry Bird on the radar & Rasheed can't even get a Drivers License. He refused to make a right turn while taking his test!

Boston won the title because of their defense, and the defense was carried by the best defensive player on the face of the planet. It's sad that he can't even get any gratitude from Celtics fans after what he did for our team. It wasn't his fault that he got injured, blame the team management that elected to let him play the 2009 season with a knee injury, which resulted in a minor problem becoming a career-changing one.

Boston doesn't have any choices. They have no way of replacing Ray if they let him go, and if the new Garnett is the baseline, might not make the playoffs in an improving eastern conference with a too short rotation. Ray's returning.

Wicks was a guy that had the capacity to be a 20/10 machine. Bob Ryan once said of him, when he was still up in Portland, "You can feed Sidney's numbers into a computer and it would have an orgasm". He was also a cancer to the core and got worse every year that he was in the NBA. Barnes' mischief was behind the scenes, most of it involving his coke dealing. 'Sheed can't touch those assclowns.

You can excuse or not excuse clowns on bad teams. The were BAD, and so were the teams. At least Wicks gave them something. Rasheed have given us nothing. Rasheed came in annointed as the next 6th man in the NBA. The missing piece for a contending team. He had his butt-kissed by Management, the Coaching Staff, and the "BIG THREE". He got $20 million to get us the next title..
As he stunk all season, the announcers around the league, kept saying he is going to be the the secret weapon in the Play-offs. Finally this time around they are saying that he hasn't done his job. YOu want this clown for the next 2 years?
Better hope that they can pay Larry Brown to take him.

I don't want him a second longer than is necessary. But he still couldn't touch the cast of malcontents Boston brought in in the late 70s. Bob McAdoo was a legitimately great player when he arrived in Boston, by the time he got to Detroit he had a cocaine jones that derailed his career. At least 'Sheed can say that Garnett was already broken when he got here.

Sheed is probably the biggest reason that on multiple occasions this year, I've chosen just to not bother watching the Celtics game on a given night. He brought up the absolute worst part in the article too. Sheed can still play, but chooses not to. He can still defend and score on the block, but he has decided not to cross the three point line if he can help it and nobody can seem to get him to do otherwise. I hate Rasheed Wallace.

I don't know why he wasn't arguing for a foul on that play, I mean he clearly should've gone at the refs till he got T-ed up to ice the cake.
That was an intentional shot to. The consummate pro always forgets which basket his team is shooting at.
Give me some of what Sheed's smoking, it'll make the playoffs bearable!

I like the way Sheed took a front row seat for Rose's reverse jam as opposed to trying to make a play....CLASSIC!
It's pretty comical at this point watching the C's turn into the keystone cops right in front of your eyes. I literally CAN NOT watch an entire Celtic game at this point. The funny thing is I watched every game with close scrutiny and excitement for years when they sucked and were running the FaToine & Paul show.
Watching Celtic Games this year is a lot like watching Piston Games last year... I wonder what the common thread is.

If Bogut was palying in the playoffs I would bet against the C's in round 1, however they probably will get to meet the Cavs in the second round and take a nice beating.
I can't wait to watch Sheed completely melt down in game 4 against the Cavs and get tossed like he did when the Pistons were getting bounced by the Cavs a few years back. It's quite a show. I'm guessing early in the 4th quarter and KG will be holding him back as he yells at a ref and throws his head band at him.

At the moment they're slated to face the Miami Wades, and I can't see them getting past Wade. Sadly, the best thing that could happen to the franchise is to get run out of the postseason in short order. That might shame the owners into taking the padlocks off the wallet.
