It has been said many times by Mr. Wallace that the "ball don't lie", and he's right. When questioned about his conditioning and lackadaisical play during the season, he has said that he'll be there for the playoffs, like he was saving himself for when the games "count". At least now we have a six game sampling of what he's been saving for the Celtics. Here is a breakdown

Heat Series:

Game 1 85-76 Win
Wallace: 13:32 min 1-1 FG 2-3 FT 0-0 3pt +7 1 Reb 4 pts
Daniels: DNP

Game 2 106 -77 Win
Wallace: 21:17 min 2-6 FG 2-2 FT 0-1 3pt -12 5 Reb 6 pts
Daniels: 6:07 min 1-2 FG 0-0 FT 0-0 3pt -4 2 pts

Game 3 100 - 98 Win
Wallace: 10:39 min 1-1 FG 0-0 FT 0-0 3pt +11 1 reb 2 pts
Daniels: DNP

Game 4 101 - 92 Loss
Wallace: 10:57 1-5 FG 3-4 Ft 1-3 3pt -20 0 Reb 5 pts
Daniels: DNP

Game 5 96 - 86 Win
Wallace: 9:08 min 1-2 FG 0-0 Ft 0-0 3Pt -5 3 Reb 2 pts
Daniels: DNP

Cavs Series: 101 - 93 Loss

Wallace: 13:06 min 1-5 FG 0-0 FT 0-1 3Pt -1 2 Reb 2 Pts
Daniels: 1:57 min 0-0 .... 0-0 +2 0 Pts

Our two premier free agent signings are distinguishing themselves well now that the games count, and as Rasheed is so prone to saying:

Ball Don't Lie

3.5 Points -- 2 Rebounds -- +3.5 Efficiency Rating in the Play-offs! Shooting 8 -- 23 FG = 35%!

I can't wait to see what he does next year and theyear after.

Great job Danny!

I'm shocked the guy has no sense of pride and is playing so poorly and lazily. It's a nightmare having Sheed on the floor when Varejao is because Sheed's lazy passes and lack of hustle are only compounded by carrot top's manic hustle/flop style. Sheed had a nice board and as he was firing a lazy outlet pass, Varejao jumps him and slaps the ball out of his hands. I wanted to pull my hair out…wtf is Sheed thinking?

I don't know what to do with Sheed but I don't think he is any worse than Davis' delusions of grandeur out there and trying to score and do too much and hurting the team. It would be nice if you could put Baby's desire and Sheed's size and veteran knowledge into one person. Then we could take the short, fat, stupid, lazy leftovers of the other person (Devito from twins) and whip him incessantly with a riding crop to get our kicks.

Play Shelden, even if its just to make crass comments to Anthony Parker about his sister last night!

Nice thought, but that marriage has cover-up written all over it. Kind of like Nomar and Mia and Latent Hewitt and that thick, bouncy Belgian chick (her name excapes me right now.)

Wallace showed a little life tonight which was a welcomed respite from the crappy play he's exhibited all season long. Question remains though, was this an aberration or a sign of better things to come?

He still did absolutely nothing defensively or on the boards. Basically he has to shoot completely lights out to make up for what he takes away everywhere else on the court.

Hello, ' Sheed. I'll take that performance. If he can add a little defense and some rebounding, maybe, finally, he's willing to show up.
