It is Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic, the Celtics lead the series 3-to-1. Magic has home court advantage again. Game 5 was hold at 8.30PM ET
Orlando Magic win Game 5 of Eastern Conference finals, 113-92, trail Boston Celtics in series, 3-2
The Orlando Magic now believe that miracles do happen. And they want to be part of one.
The Magic, who lost the first three games of the Eastern Conference finals, won their second consecutive game Wednesday night, 113-92, over the Boston Celtics.
No NBA team ever has rebounded from an 0-3 deficit to win a playoff series, but it's looking at least like a possibility now with Game 6 Friday in Boston.

So, What will we do, Celtic, forget the result of last two games, you are always the best, just show it

I am not at all surprised that the series is 3-2 at this point. I mean, did we really think that Orlando would continue to play much worse than we have seen them play during the regular season?

I couldn't believe it when all the analysts were saying the Cs were going to sweep. Before the blow-out in game 3, a lot of people were predicting a 6-game series (i.e. even when the Celtics were up 2 games to none) - the idea being that if Orlando could steal EITHER of the 2 games in Boston (making the series 3 to 1), they'd probably win the next game in Orlando (which just happened), making the series 3 - 2. Then the Celtics win game 6 back in Boston (we hope!) and win the series 4-2. I absolutely thought that this was a VERY likely scenario.

So just because game 3 was a blow-out, they all abandon this theory and start talking about a sweep, apparently forgetting that the original idea stated that Orlando would win EITHER of the 2 games in Boston - so if we believe what we've been saying, when they lost game 3, gee, hey, maybe they'll win game 4! Duh!

I have long thought that a blow-out is no more meaningful than a regular loss. I remember years ago the Celitcs won the first or 2nd game of a 7-game championship series against the Lakers by something like 40 points and everyone was screaming about how the Lakers would lose the series. The Lakers won it in 6 games (maybe the last championship series Bird played in?). Blow-outs don't mean a thing!

Meanwhile, it has been noted repeatedly by Mike Gorman that the Celtics are terrible in Friday night home games. They've been losing all year on this particular night at home. A bad omen... :(
