Damn, that sucked, but I'm really proud of this Celtics team. Pretty much everyone had written them off this season. They fought hard as a team throughout the playoffs, and gave us some great moments.

Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Kendrick Perkins, Tony Allen, Rasheed Wallace, Glen Davis, Nate Robinson, Doc Rivers, Tom Thibodeau, and the rest of the coaching staff will go down as one of my all-time favorite Celtic teams.

Hopefully, the soccer will help me get over this loss a little more quickly.

Absolutely. I posted similar thoughts in the game thread. I wasn't around for Cousy, Russell, Havlicek, or Cowens, and I'm too young to remember to remember the original Big Three or Reggie Lewis. Rick Pitino was coaching this team when I started paying attention. Watching a team with the capability of coming that close to a championship has been amazing.

The focus turns to baseball for me.

I can't stand baseball, but, like I said, luckily, it's a world cup year.

Haha, Gerald Greens rookie year is when this young lad started paying attention. You can guess I'm proud too! I thought I'd be pissed ass hell iff they lost game 7, but no, it was a good game and I love my C's!
Soccer it is here from now on. Go England!

Compared to what we Celtics die-hards experienced during the dark ages, we are extremely happy and proud of these Celtics. The team was not given much chance after going horrible pre playoff run, blasting Cleveland and Lebron, unseating Orlando Magic as the Eastern Conference Champions and stretching the favored Lakers to Game Seven and almost winning it all.

The thing that made me love these Celtics, they outworked everyone in the NBA. They beat most odds and four point shy of winning it all.

Thank you Boston Celtics 2009-2010! Take the loss and we move on to the next championship. I am sure Banner #18 will come soon!

I think they left it all on the floor and that’s all you can ask. I’ll always remember watching this title run because it was when my son was born so that will be cool.

I thought I would be really upset too but I’m not. These guys poured their blood and guts out on the floor and didn’t leave a drop left in the tank. Probably the beast TEAM effort I have watched. Their starting center missed the biggest game of the season unexpectedly and the savvy veterans didn’t miss a beat. I grew to like Sheed over the years and watching him show heart in this game, when he is obviously washed up, makes me happy. These guys went down swinging and threw every punch they could and landed bombs on the entire NBA in the playoffs. They were champions and played like it, almost every guy on that team has a ring.

I think this game was the big 3 plus Sheed throwing everything they had at the Lakers and I liked it.

Honestly, I’m happier to be a Celtic fan today than a fan of the Lakers. I like this team better.

Like the closing credits of a movie where they say what happened to the characters after the end:

Rasheed Wallace: This was his last game he played in the NBA. Sheed disappeared from public spotlight and spent the rest of his years a happy family man spending his time with his wife and kids.

Doc Rivers: Doc left the Celtics following the 2010 season and smoothly transitioned into his previous job as a sports broadcaster. He went on to become the Commissioner of the NBA.

Ray Allen: Ray spent 2 more years as a hired gun in the NBA but never made another appearance in the finals.

Kevin Garnett: KG played one more season for the Celtics and retired after injuring himself in the second half of the season forcing him to miss the remainder of the season and the playoffs.

Paul Pierce: Played several more years with the Celtics but never had another deep playoff run. He transitioned into a 6th man and went down as one of the most loved Celtics of all time. He retired a Celtic and his parting speech was a huge celebration in Boston.

Wow, nice to hear the d-bags on 98.5 hammer Sheed today and blame him for the loss. He was a mid-thirtys bench player for a reason, guys figure it out. How do the people of Boston listen to these tools?

Personally, I blame owner Jim Pallotta for accosting Stern after one of the home games, after that we were not getting a single call to go our way.

I did think it was funny that Sheed tried to get into the Officials locker room out to "Speak with Danny" Crawford, only to be escorted out by security.

Lakers officials have announced they are giving rings to all of the ref's from last nights game, they are also getting team jersey's, joining them on a trip to the white house and actually came in second by just one vote in the Finals MVP voting.

Gotta say, I'm extremely impressed with the way you guys are taking the loss. I don't think I could've been as poised as you guys, had the Lakers lost. I probably would've gone into a deep, deep depression. I seriously gained a newfound respect for these particular Boston fans, who make me hate Boston just a little less.

That said, here's my take. This wasn't Boston's last year. Everybody wants to say that you guys are too old, and this was the last chance, and so forth. But give me a break. You guys still have a few years left. I would say at least two years, as legit title contenders. If this team remained the same, I expect you guys in the Eastern Conference Finals next year.

This is such a balanced team, and Doc is such a great coach, ya'll aren't going anywhere. There's a reason why you guys beat Dwight/Orlando, Wade/Miami, and Lebron/Cleveland, and quite handily at that. It wasn't dumb luck. And things won't change that much over the course of one year. If anything, Rondo, Big Baby, Tony Allen, and Nate Robinson will only continue to grow and develop into even better players.

It sure didn't sound like he was trying to start a flame war to me.

As far as Butter Ray, after the way he played in the playoffs, I think I'd not bring him up at all, at least till the memory fades. He did a good job of defense on Kobe, but his shooting was just terrible.

As far as the Cs chances next year, I wish I was as optimistic as LakerFan.

I needed a few days to cool off, though my opinion of game 7 remains.

I tip my hat off to a team that proved a team succeeds over solitary stars in the first three rounds of the playoffs. They showed toughness every time they had to deal with adversity and almost came out on top in the end. Yeah they fell 5 points short of #18, but no team, I repeat emphatically: NO TEAM, was tougher than Boston in the playoffs, phyisically and mentally. It tough to fall just short, but there's nothing to be ashamed of with how it ended for the Celts.

I don't know if this team an be re-assembled and compete next year. They will be a very different team in 2010-11 with probably a lot of new players complicating the ability to develop chemistry. But for now, the Celtics should hold their heads high because they gave it their all in game 7. When you leave it all on the court like they did, there's no shame in falling just short of the ultimate goal.

Hey Lakerfan, why do you feel the need to come to our HOOD and spread your niceness huh? Are you trying to start a flamewar? Because if you is, I just got back from vacay and we can squabble yo. The Celtics are way more classy than your Funtime Lakeshow. Bigbaybee is the future and your Bynum is more like a BUMnum... Sweetness like butter Ray's sweet stroke. I bet his stroke is so nice that when he masturbates, he pre-ejaculates like crazy.... Hence the nickname BUTTER RAY!!! SWISSSH in your ear Lakerfan.

This is another Laker fan tool. You guys are really creative. Thank you so much for this interesting way of expressing yourself.

Thats right Boston Bi*ches. How does it feel to lose? And how does it feel to see your team fall apart for the next 20 yrs? Your window has closed and your pain is my gratification. Karma's a bi*ch aint it? I'm glad you guys won in 08 and talked trash for 2 yrs. It made this championship win even better. All that chest pounding, paulina pierce floppin has gone to an end, while you watch the lakers contend for titles for the next 3-4 years.

Ray Allen's comments at the ESPY's in 08 was disrespectful and stupid. Now ask him how Fishers' ass taste? You win 1 title and that will be your last you punk bi*ch.

Paul Pierce's comment about not coming back to LA was another stupid A$$ comment. Not only did we come back but he choked!!! This guy is so overrated. Last yrs tweet during the finals was another dumb comment. This guy grew up a Laker fan and deep down inside he still is.....he's just paid to wear green. hahah I'm glad he was never a Laker because I wouldn't want a punk bi#ch on this team.

Kevin Garnett is the biggest trash talking muther fuker there is. He only talks $hit to little point guards and never someone his size. He can pound his chest all he wants, but he's past his prime and will always remember how Gasol outplayed him. Gasol is the most skilled big man in the league!

This post was 2 yrs in the making. I hope you guys feel the pain we felt 2 yrs ago, only to know that your pain will last a whole lot longer then ours. MuahHAhaHAhaHAhaAHAh

P.S. Feel free to comment on this post. I will gladly BASH on your team OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER AGAIN.....

Yes, I agree. I like it so much, in fact, that I read it every time I see it again. It's nice to see someone enjoy himself so much.
