View Full Version : The Celtics - Two Years From Now
Okay, we know Ainge is all in for two more seasons with this core group of veterans, at which point it all may blow up - Ainge himself may walk away, Rivers will most assuredly be gone, and a host of players will retire and ride off into the sunset - KG, Ray Allen and Shaq among them.
Which begs the question - what will the Boston basketball scene look like two years from now?

Rondo will be the best player on the team, and Pierce will be showing definite signs of decline. Don't even know if Perk will re-sign with the team.Even with my darkest Celtic green glasses I am asking myself: Do we have any other budding stars now? Bradley has some strong potential but we've said that about other players and most of them didn't cut it. Luke might move on after a couple of years at the thought of being in the middle of a complete rebuild, especially if he blossoms. Semih is another mystery and who really has a clue if he's going to become a Turkish Working Man's version of Dirk? Doesn't seem very realistic at this point, just might need to drink more to get that one to make sense. Once the team declines, who of any great stature would want to come here as a FA? So that comes down to having to become crappy again and hoping that we hit the jackpot in the lottery. As long as it doesn't take another generation to win another title, then that will be OK. We know this club was assembled for the short-term, and unfortunately the short term has just about caught up with us. Two years from now, it ain't going to be pretty.

Chris Paul will be signing an extension with Boston after leading them to titles in '11 & '12. Garnett will ink a reasonable extension to help the team add additional talent so that he can win even more rings.

Yeah, I'd say that there's a 100% chance that Superman demands a trade.
