And concentrate on fundamental basketball. Like taking care of the ball, boxing out, defensive intensity, and good shot selections. The breakdown in fundamentals the Celtics are exhibiting in the 3rd qtrs of games is atrocious.
Really this is not a good basketball team right now. It is a BAD basketball team.
Everybody screwed this up.
This team is going nowhere this year. The season is completely lost.

Everyone is frustrated, but to say our season is lost at only the All-Star break is just plain stupid.

Blow it up!!!
[I secretly live to over react to tough time on sports message boards. I love watching people freak out and say "team sucks" type stuff. This Celtics tough patch is great....I wanna yell the loud words!]
Fire everyone!

But for the next week the Cs will be able to find considerable interest in Ray Allen, Tony Allen, Brian Scalabrine, Marquis Daniels, Eddie House, Shelden Williams and J.R. Giddens. (Bill Walker also can be included as his minimum salary is not guaranteed after this season.) Ray Allen is the big fish here. The interest has nothing to do with the players and everything to do with the expiring nature of their contracts. Two types of teams will be especially interested. Some teams, like the Knicks and the Bulls, are desperate to clear more cap space to become bigger players in the vaunted 2010 free agent market. Many other teams, like the Sixers, Golden State and Sacramento, are desperate to dump long-term deals because their finances are in disarray.
So Danny has a unique opportunity to parlay expiring contracts for players who do not figure into the team’s future and who have little market value into some quality assets. Players that might be available include Andre Iguodala, Kevin Martin and many more.
This from Enchalada on Real GM.
Every team misses 9 out of 10 Free Throws as the lead is slipping away. OOPS!
"Players that might be available include Andre Iguodala, Kevin Martin and many more." Does he mean Kenyon Martin? I heard folks discussing him as being available, as in a trade for Ray Allen. They play different positions, and it does seem to me we need a shooting guard. But maybe they are talking about a multi-player deal.

Not when the glue that holds the team together(KG) is permanently damaged.

He means Sacramento's Kevin Martin, who's available because he and Tyreke Evans are both single position players, and it's the same position. Evans is Wadesque superstar and Kevin Martin isn't, so Martin's available. But the Kings want something for Martin, so I don't think a direct deal is doable. They might cobble together a three way with Chicago where Ray heads to Chitown for Hinrich, Ty Thomas, and James Johnson, with Hinrich & Johnson going to Sactown for Martin. Hinrich is the ideal running mate for a player like Evans (who runs the offense out of the 2 spot), a guy that can provide spot up shooting when Evans is on the floor and run the offense when he's on the bench.
Thanks for the info! Interesting.

Getting Philadelphia involved, since Sacramento openly pursued Sam Dalembert earlier this season, might be another viable scenario. I'd prefer Iguodala for his better all-around game, but Martin's probably a much more attainable target.

I might write a couple pieces on the recent trade rumors tonight.
